Fifteen children from Northumberland enjoyed riding lessons at The Pegasus Centre near Morpeth on Saturday 8th May.
It was a beautiful sunny day and the children were introduced to their ponies before enjoying both indoor and outdoor riding in the arenas. The children learnt to open and shut gates from their ponies and also played games with buckets and balls.
Here are some photos from the day:

Testimonial from one of the families attending the Riding Day:
"we are members of several groups but the trips that Useful Vision organise are always the best" (The R Family)

Useful Vison wishes to say a big thank you to all the volunteers and helpers on the day.
Our next riding day is to be held at Three Lane Ends Farm, Escomb, County Durham. Details to follow.
....Volunteers play a vital role in the running of Useful Vision. Their involvement helps us to reduce running costs and ensures that most of the funds we raise go on activities and events for our children, young people and families.

Volunteers are needed to help at activities, events and classes during weekends and school holidays. Voluteering with Useful Vision is not a huge commitment and it can be a very rewarding experience. All we ask is your time for 2 or 3 activities a year. For this we offer training and support to volunteer, as well as out of pocket expenses.
