Lottery Funding from "Awards for All" enabled us to run our drama workshop over the recent Easter Holidays. The workshop ran over 3 days and was held at The Shiney Row Drama Studio, near Houghton Le Spring, Sunderland.
An enormous thank you to UCAN Productions whose professional actors, musicians and comedians ran the workshop.
The 3 day workshop concluded in a fantastic performance watched by more than 60 friends and family members on Thursday afternoon.
Thank you also to the student volunteers who helped throughout the workshop.
The next workshop will take place on Tuesday 27th, Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th July in Newcastle.
....Volunteers play a vital role in the running of Useful Vision. Their involvement helps us to reduce running costs and ensures that most of the funds we raise go on activities and events for our children, young people and families.
Volunteers are needed to help at activities, events and classes during weekends and school holidays. Voluteering with Useful Vision is not a huge commitment and it can be a very rewarding experience. All we ask is your time for 2 or 3 activities a year. For this we offer training and support to volunteer, as well as out of pocket expenses.
