Unique positive opportunities for vision impaired children

Run Geordie Run

We are incredibly grateful that Mark Allison aka Run Geordie Run has chosen Useful Vision as his charity to support during 2017.

He will be taking part in various challenges and activities throughout the year to fundraise for us, including;

  • Raising sponsorship whilst taking part in various training activities to prepare for the next leg of his run Around The World next year, which will involve pulling a buggy.
  • Donating the proceeds from his work’s Tuck Shop from September to December 2017. This is funded by his commercial sponsor SOS Group meaning that every pound that is spent at the Tuck Shop is used to return a 100% profit.
  • Donating 100% of the proceeds of any talks he does about his run Around The World to Useful Vision.
  • Selling his Run Geordie Run t-shirts, which were paid for by his commercial sponsors meaning 100% of the proceeds will go to Useful Vision. Vision impaired children at our Skills Workshops are also working with Mark to come up with a new t-shirt design.

In his own words, this is what Mark has to say about Useful Vision “To say that I’m inspired by the amazing work that Useful Vision carry out, is an absolute understatement. Being able to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause is a total honour and privilege. I’m looking forward to raising as much money as possible for Useful Vision during the rest of 2017.”
