Trips Out

Magical Winter Wonderland

It was lovely to see Useful Vision families experience a magical fun packed day in the enchanted Kielder Winter Wonderland Forest.
All children were greeted and given a medal on arrival.
The day was full of wonderful activities and surprises for all of the families to enjoy.
Useful Vision families visited Mr and Mrs Beaver and took part in a dance and a sing-along.
Families joined in and helped Mrs Christmas who was spreading Christmas cheer.
Everyone visited the Elves workshop and the children made a keepsake wood Christmas scene to take home.
Meeting Father Christmas was amazing. The Elves guided the children through the twinkling enchanted forest where they met Daffodil who lived in a mushroom she entertained the children with her story telling and singing before the visit to Father Christmas’s secret woodland home. It was great watching the children’s faces when he called out their names. Father Christmas knew so much about the children and he gave them all special gift to cherish.
Father Christmas had his seven reindeer with him so everyone got to stroke and feed them, along with Snowy the owl and the other animals in the bird of prey centre.
Many of the families were brave enough to try out the snow tubing and ice skating.
Useful Vision would like to give a massive THANK YOU to Northumbrian Water and Useful Vision Volunteer Alex who supported us on the day.
