Thank you Run Geordie Run!

Useful Vision are delighted to reveal the final total of Run Geordie Run’s amazing fundraising for us in 2017 is £8200.37!

We were overjoyed last year when Run Geordie Run aka Mark Allison approached us and asked if he could fundraise for us. At the time, he said “Being able to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause is a total honour and privilege. I’m looking forward to raising as much money as possible for Useful Vision during the rest of 2017.”

During 2017, Mark carried out a range of fundraising activities for Useful Vision, including sponsored training for his “Run Around the World” Tour and tuck shops and raffles at Virgin Money where he works.

Our favourite fundraising activity has to be selling “Run Geordie Run” T-shirts which were designed by the children attending Useful Vision Skills Workshops.

Throughout the year, Mark was constantly thinking of new ways to raise funds and approaching businesses to sponsor him.

Mark said of his fundraising “I’ve really enjoyed raising funds for Useful Vision. I always enjoy visiting their website and Facebook page. It’s obvious to me that they put the money raised to great use to support vision impaired children and their families with many different activities.”

A huge thank you to Mark for all of his hard work and effort, we really appreciate it.

Thanks also to everyone who has supported him, including; SOS Group, Virgin Money, Steffen Peddie, FFG, Newcastle Sapphire Engineering Diamonds , D-Line and Chapman Ventilation.
