This exciting Useful Vision trip has been specially arranged with sensory experiences in mind. Attractions available on the day for families to book:

Chocolate Story tour

Love chocolate? Then you’ll love York’s Chocolate Story – an interactive chocolate experience that’s guaranteed to get your sweet tooth tingling!

Led by a professional tour guide, you’ll discover the origins of chocolate, learn about how it’s produced, and uncover some surprising secrets behind York’s greatest chocolate products.

And of course, no chocolate tour would be complete without having a cheeky taste of the produce!

The Next Big Thing Workshop

The workshop will explore packaging design of some of York’s most iconic confectionery products to uncover the secret to their success. Discover the history of the chocolate truffle, have a go at making some by hand and design a unique box of bespoke truffles.

An Archaeological Adventure – Dig Tour

This is where the fun really starts! Children can dig down deep (in synthetic, no mess soil) to discover artefacts from the four major periods of York’s fascinating history. An Archaeologist is on hand to answer your questions on your finds & help you piece together what it would have been like to live in past.

Families can choose up to 2 activities. Coach transport and buffet lunch will be provided.
