We’re always in need of friendly, energetic people to lend a hand on one of our days out and help bring the community together. The support you can provide is priceless. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, with your help we can continue to offer support to visually impaired children and their families.
We have a really friendly volunteer programme for anyone interested in getting involved and lending a hand. It’s not just helpful for us, it’s a great experience for you, and it’s always great to know you’re making a real difference.
A sighted guide volunteer is a person who guides a person with blindness or vision impairment. The technique enables an individual with sight loss to use a person with sight to show them where to go. We run approximately 2 family days a month over weekends, monthly baby and toddler groups and additional workshops and days out over the school holidays. Volunteers can commit to as many or as few activities as they can manage – we always give plenty of notice.Apply Now
