Throughout the day families can take part in Useful Vision workshops, craft activities and an exclusive animal petting session.

Play Tyne is a miniature version of the River Tyne you can load and unload boats, open and close lock gates to move boats up and downstream. You can also operate models of the three central Tyne crossings; the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, the Tyne Bridge and the Swing Bridge, allowing boats passage on the river and vehicles to cross it. Please indicate when booking if your child wishes to be signed up for Play Tyne.

There will also be free time to explore all The Discovery Museum has to offer!

Families can take a packed lunch or use the on-site café.
