Throughout 2020 we will be holding a series of monthly workshops, discussions and practical skills training to enable those aged 14+ to become more independent and to learn essential skills to move towards life as a young adult with confidence.
We will be covering lots of subjects including personal and home care, safety and self-presentation and awareness of finance and budgeting.
‘Useful Futures’ will be informative, fun and sociable.
Our first session ‘Money Matters’, will start on Saturday 11th January 2020, at Barclays Bank in Central Newcastle. This will be a practical and informative workshop to help you to understand money. You will look at accounts, cards and budgeting, take part in a quiz and try the accessible equipment designed to help visually impaired people.
We will then all enjoy lunch at Nando’s.
You must be at least 14 years to take part in Useful Futures.
