Take to the water to explore the iconic landmarks of Teeside, gain new skills with canoeing and bell boating.

There are both indoor and outdoor spaces to have lunch.

You may have to wear a wetsuit, so please bring swimming costumes to wear underneath. Please bring footwear you do not mind getting wet.

*All children who go in the water must have an adult accompanying them at all times.

You are invited to join Useful Vision to enjoy a TEEN bowling session at GutterBall Alley.

This is a card only venue.

Useful Vision are excited to invite our ‘Teens’ to an exclusive World percussion and Composition Workshop! Working together with an expert musician from The Music Workshop Company, you will be introduced to a range of instruments and rhythms from around the world. Including Djembe drums from West Africa, Darabuka drums from the Middle East, Agogo bells from Brazil and shakers from Bali. You will then learn and play some traditional rhythms before working together to create your own musical masterpiece.

Free onsite parking.

Join us to get creative in the kitchen with Nourish Food. We will be working with fresh ingredients to make some delicious treats. The kitchen will be equipped with specialist VI cooking equipment.
We will enjoy our culinary creations together afterwards.

Age 8+

Bowling at Lane7 Durham, followed by pizza at ASK Italian. These activities aim to develop confidence, new skills, independence and friendships amongst our community of visually impaired 12 – 18 year olds. We encourage visually impaired children to come independently, without parents, carers or siblings. If you have any questions about this, please get in touch with the team.

We will be joined at this event by Charlotte from LOOK UK to discuss their mentoring scheme, which provides support to visually impaired people aged 11 – 29 at school, university/college, or when looking for work.

Parents and Carers are welcome to attend the meal from 2:30pm onwards to learn more about LOOK UK and have the opportunity to ask Charlotte any questions about the mentorship programme.

This is not a family event it is a Teen Event for 12- 18 year old Visually impaired children,

to attend without parents, carers, or siblings. If a young person needs support please

contact the office. NB : Parents & carers are welcome to join the meal after bowling to hear about

the Look UK mentoring scheme.  Timings to be confirmed on booking.
