Grants: £500 Waitrose Donation

We are so pleased to announce that Waitrose Eldon Square have donated a £500 Health & Wellbeing Grant to Useful Vision! This generous gift will enable us to continue providing and expanding our extensive program of sporting activities for visually impaired children in the North East. We facilitate a huge range of sports and skills workshops, focusing on increasing self-esteem and confidence. We work with trained instructors and provide adapted equipment to make sport accessible to all visually impaired children.

Useful Vision Event at Newcastle Climbing Centre

Through our jam-packed sessions, we support children to develop their skills, make friends and gain independence. So far in 2022, we have hosted sports workshops and events in archery, trampolining, rock climbing, multisports at the Beacon of Light, dance workshops in partnership with Dance City, horse riding and swimming. We can’t wait to develop our exclusive program of health and wellbeing events further and allow even more visually impaired children to access fun and free activities.
