Grants: Middlesbrough Council Staff Lottery Donation

Last year, Useful Vision were delighted to be awarded a Community Chest Grant from Middlesbrough Council. This generous donation supported the continuation of a project with Dance City, bringing performance and dance workshops to visually impaired children in Middlesbrough. The collaboration with Dance City was hugely successful, allowing visually impaired children to meet each other and engage in an exclusive, fun and accessible activity. A parent said, ‘The sessions have provided fantastic social interaction, participation and the opportunity to make new friends’

Following this, Middlesbrough council staff chose Useful Vision as a recipient for their January Lottery. Middlesbrough Council runs a monthly staff lottery, with a percentage of the monies raised going towards good causes. We’re so grateful for this support, which will enable us to continue running activities for Visually Impaired Children across Middlesbrough and the North East.
