Useful Vision awarded £1,000 Tesco Community Grant!

Useful Vision are delighted to announce we’ve won a £1,000 Tesco Community Grant!

Every three months, local good causes are selected to be in the blue token customer vote in Tesco stores throughout the UK. Since 2016, the scheme has supported over 40,000 community groups with more than £90 million in grants, focusing on projects supporting young people, increasing food security and other charitable causes nominated by Tesco colleagues.

Customers in the Kingston Park store used their blue tokens to vote for Useful Vision. This generous donation will enable us to continue supporting visually impaired children and their families across the North East by providing free and accessible activities, advice, and life-changing opportunities.

In February 2022, Useful Vision team members, Ciara (Activity Co-ordinator) and Caitie (Communications Officer) visited the Kingston Park store to chat to customers and raise awareness. We’ve cultivated a fantastic relationship with Kingston Park Community Champion, Karen Colley. Karen continued to support us by donating a food hamper to our family fun day Tombola in June and we look forward to working with her again in future!

A huge thank you to the customers of Kingston Park Tesco!
