Exploring Braille with Ruff and Madilyn

The Exploring Braille with Madilyn and Ruff App was created by the mother and teacher of a child who is blind and is designed to help young children learn the braille alphabet.  It is a free app that uses sound and touch in an interactive approach in two different instructional approaches and has two quiz modes to assess a child’s reading and writing skills in braille.  The app is geared toward children from ages 4-10 years, although it can be used by anyone learning braille. It is fully accessible to people with visual impairments, using an external refreshable braille display (RBD) and Voice-over.
