Fundraising

Useful Vision is awarded funds from the National Lottery and Magic Little Grants!

The Useful Vision team are pleased to provide an update on fundraising grants awarded to us recently.

We were thrilled to receive a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to support our programme of activities. Useful Vision’s inclusive events range from active days out to skills workshops in music, art, and drama, enabling visually children to try new things, make friends, and grow in confidence. Useful Vision events bring families together to enjoy fun and fully accessible activities, and connect with other families with visually impaired children. This summer, we’ve added some brand-new experiences to our programme including Newham Grange Farm, The Arcade Warehouse, and Littley Bay, an indoor miniature play village. Check out our full calendar of upcoming events here.

A huge thanks to the National Lottery Fund, supported by players of The National Lottery, for this generous donation. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Magic Little Grants who have also awarded funding to Useful Vision. Magic Little Grants gives donations to smaller charities to deliver projects across the UK. This award will go directly towards our ‘Active Healthy Lives for Visually Impaired Children’ initiative to provide sports and wellbeing opportunities to encourage healthy living. The funding for this grant has been provided by LocalGiving in partnership with the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, a grant giving organisation funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

We’re so grateful for the continued support of our funders which allows us to keep providing vital support for visually impaired children and their families.

Could you help us make a difference to the lives of visually impaired children? As a charity, we don’t receive any government funding, therefore we completely rely on the generosity of our supporters. A donation of any amount helps us reach more families, provide more support and resources, and offer new enriching events, activities and skills workshops. Please consider donating any amount here.

We’re also always on the lookout for volunteers to help out at our events! Find out more about the benefits of volunteering with us and sign up here.

If you’re not able to donate or volunteer at this time, we also really appreciate you showing your support by sharing our posts and following us on Instagram and Facebook.
